At Rank Brain Media, we have perfected the craft of social media marketing.
We help our clients create personalized experiences at scale using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Google+ and other various social media platforms.
The state of social media in 2016
It’s likely you are reading this page for one of two reasons. Either you have tried to use social media in the past to increase business, but it didn’t work. Or, you have not tried it yet but you’re interested in giving it a shot.
Either way, you are behind.
Social media is not something you “do”. Social is the current state of the web. Social is where your customer’s attention is and where transactions and buying decisions are being made every second.
If you’re not there, you are missing a huge opportunity that your competitors are taking advantage of.
The secret to a successful social media marketing strategy
In traditional advertising, we are so used to talking about ourselves.
We talk about why we are the best, why you should hire us, or here is a special offer we are running.
If that is the message you are sharing on social media, you will not have any success. Nobody is logging into their Facebook hoping that someone will sell them something.
But…if your business is there engaging with those people, the sales will come.
To be successful with social media in your business and to drive qualified leads to pick up the phone and call you, you must provide value.
Social media is a platform where you must provide value first, and when you do that, you gain leverage with your customers.
Stop making social media so transactional.
Engage with your customers. Tell your story. Respond to people. Be transparent – be real. Let people get to know your brand, provide them with value, and the leads will come.
What is “value”?
It depends on your company, but value can be almost anything that is educational, inspiring, storytelling, funny, relevant, entertaining, engaging or helpful.
If you own a restaurant, show how specific dishes are made.
If you’re a dentist, give tips on how to keep your teeth strong and healthy.
Sometimes, you can provide value just by listening.
By using Twitter search, I looked for people asking where they should eat tonight. Here’s just one of many examples.
If I owned a restaurant, I can jump in and engage.
Social Media is Listening and Engaging
At Rank Brain Media, we do a really good job of helping our customers listen and engage on social media. We also help you determine which social media platforms are right for you.
If you are a restaurant, Facebook and Instagram might have the best return for you. But you also can’t post the same content to both because the context of each platform is different. You must understand how to effectively craft your content for each individual platform.
If you’re a realtor, Twitter and LinkedIn might be your best bet.
We will help you identify which platforms will provide the best return, how to craft your content appropriately, how to listen and engage, how to send social signals for better SEO, and ultimately drive powerful ready-to-buy leads to your business.
Are you ready to quit marketing like it’s 2005 and start marketing in 2016?
