A 30-Day SEO Challenge (Proof)

If you call an SEO company and tell them you want your website to rank #1, they’ll tell you that they can do it. Present company included.

But we decided to prove it.

On October 1, 2020 we did an analysis of our own rankings to find any opportunities that might exist for ourselves.

And we found that we ranked #4 for the search term, “SEO Company Indianapolis” – a search term that averages 210 searches per month.

We decided we wanted to rank #1.

So we went to our Facebook page and posted a challenge to ourselves. The goal was to optimize our website to move from #4 to #1 within 30 days. We documented it on the Facebook page as a challenge and a way to timestamp it so we could brag about it later like this.

Fast-forward to today, October 11, 2020 (just 10 days later) where Rank Brain Media is now the #1 ranking website for the search term.

 
So in 1/3 of our goal time, we moved from #4 to #1 and are now the top ranked SEO company in Indianapolis (something we should have done a long time ago, but ya know, work…)

This was accomplished with on-site content improvements, site architecture improvements, internal linking, and optimized title tags, H tags and alt tags.

Lastly, to put into perspective what this means, we should see a 573% increase in traffic by moving up to #1.

The #1 ranking website for any given keyword averages a 32% CTR while the #4 only sees a measly 4.8%.
